Meet Your Cake Designer

Hi! Thank you so much for visiting my site!

My cake journey began in 1991 when I took my first Wilton Cake Decorating class at JC Penney. It was a 4 week course that taught the basics of cake decorating.

In 1998, just for fun, I decided to take the Wilton Masters Course at the Wilton School of Cake Decorating in Darien, IL. The 2 week course started out teaching flower piping, various piping techniques, and my final project was a tiered wedding cake. It was during that class I decided I wanted to pursue a career in cake decorating. I took several classes at the school, and started my own cake decorating business in 1999. In early 2000 I attended bridal shows to obtain wedding business, and I made a lot of birthday cakes for family and friends.

In 2005 I was hired at Wilton Industries as a cake decorator. It was my absolute dream job! My projects were featured on in-store signage at Michael’s and Joann’s in the cake decorating department, Wilton product packaging, and on Wilton.com. I also decorated the Gingerbread houses on packaging for several stores. My projects are featured in the 2007-2015 Wilton Yearbooks, and other Wilton publications such as Wilton Tiered Cake, Wedding Style, Cupcake Fun, Brownie Fun, and Cookie Exchange (I’m one of the models in the photos, that was so much fun!)

At Wilton, I filmed several how-to videos for their YouTube channel as well as appearing periodically on their weekly Facebook Lives, teaching the skills of cake decorating.

I’ve had the opportunity to be an Icing Angel, and donate cakes for an organization called Icing Smiles - they are a nonprofit organization that provides custom celebration cakes and other treats to families impacted by the critical illness of a child.

I’m so grateful to be able to do what I love! My cakes are my passion and I do everything I can to make sure they taste amazing.

Check out my inquiry form to place an order. I’d love to create something special for your event!
