Wedding Cake Information
Step 1 - Cake Tasting (optional)
Tastings are $35.00.
Form is located under “Inquiry Forms” tab above
A 2 week notice before date of pick up is required. Pick up is in Channahon, IL, address
will be provided after order is confirmed.
Choose 4 cake flavors and 4 fillings for the tasting
You can pick 2 of those flavor combinations for the wedding cake
You will receive 4-4” small cakes, each cake will serve up to 6 people.
Step 2 - Choose your Design
$4.75 per serving
Choose from my Wedding Cake Designs located under the “Wedding Information” tab
Any decorating in the design package can be mixed and matched. If you like the piping on one cake and the spatula technique on another, they can be combined to create your custom cake. The number of guests will dictate the number of cake tiers. I will adjust the design for either more or less tiers for your cake. Note ~ you are looking at the design of the cake (spatula technique and piping), not necessarily at the flower arrangement. If there is a design you are interested in, but don't see one similar in my photos, email me a picture and I can let you know if it will be included in the price above, or if it will incur additional charges.
Cupcakes and Small Cakes
Cupcakes are iced with a white vanilla buttercream piped icing swirl. Pricing is $36 per dozen. If you would like any other piping, flavored buttercream, or additional decorating, a quote will be provided.
Some couples are opting for a small cutting cake along with the cupcakes, or a sweets table. A single cake size is 6”(serves 12 people- starting at $57). Design is #104 from Basic Designs.
Another option would be a small tiered cake 6”/8” (serves 36 people - starting at $171) Choose Design from Wedding Cake Designs.
All plates, stands, pedestals, or any other décor on the cupcake table is the responsibility of the couple or the venue to provide.
Step 3 ~ Confirming the Cake Order
After you’ve tasted the cakes, email me with your 2 flavor choices and the design # of the cake you’d like for the wedding. I will need a preliminary guest count to calculate an estimated total. At that time, a $100 non-refundable retainer is required to hold the date. I will send you a link to sign the contract.

Delivery
Delivery fee is based on distance, a quote will be provided. Typically delivery is within 25 miles 1 way from Channahon, IL.
Fresh Florals
For the multi tiered and small 1 - 2 tiered cakes, I highly recommend ordering cake flowers through your florist. They really complete the overall look of the cake and tie all of your reception décor together.
Ask for a variety of flowers from your centerpieces. Roses, spray roses, smaller filler flowers, berries and greenery are the most used. Eucalyptus and rose petals are sometimes used around the cake to further compliment the cake table, so ask your florist for those, if you like.
The florist will typically leave the flowers on the cake table and I will arrange them on the cake.
Please note, I can only work with the flowers I am given, I will arrange accordingly. If you want the flowers arranged in a specific way, show a photo to both me and your florist so they can have the correct amount and type of flowers needed.
Cake Topper
Let me know if you are adding a cake topper –for instance, a monogram pick, or if you would like only florals for the top of the cake. Any toppers should not be more than 6” wide.
Cake Stands
The cake is placed on a baseboard, then placed on the table. Stands or pedestals are not necessary, but some couples desire the height it gives the cake. If you purchase a cake stand, or are renting one from your florist, please let me know the dimensions of the stand. Stands without edges are best. I can give you an estimate on what size stand you’ll need, it will all depend on the number of guests you are serving.
6” Anniversary Cake
Some couples like the tradition to have a small 6” cake to take home the night of the wedding and freeze until their 1 year anniversary. The charge for this cake is $57 payable at the end of the “final details” form. Please appoint a friend or family member ahead of time to be responsible for making sure it goes home with you that night.
